One app, three animations, zero coins required.

Do you drive a car? Too lazy to clean it yourself? Live in a cashless society? Then GoWash might just be your new favourite app.

We were approached by Jonny and the GoWash team to create not one, but three distinct animation film shorts to help launch their ambitious new startup. Each animation focused on a core strand of the business — Fleets, Sites, and the GoWash App itself — designed to showcase the platform’s functionality and encourage uptake across a range of audiences.

The challenge: turn complex services into clear, compelling, creatively rich animations that stood out in a crowded market. We were given full creative freedom, and we ran with it.

Our Process

Building a brand voice, one frame at a time

We love a blank canvas. Starting with GoWash’s loose palette and simple logo, we got to work expanding and defining a visual language that could carry across all three animations.

This meant not just creating animations, but effectively shaping a working brand system — one that could flex across different audiences (fleet managers, site owners, and app users) while remaining visually consistent.

Brogan led the illustration style, combining punchy colour blocking with soft textures and clean shapes. Each short had its own tone, but all were unified by a confident design voice and just enough irreverence to stay memorable.

Once the look was locked, our animation team brought it all to life — clean transitions, purposeful motion, and a layered panoramic style that added subtle depth. Luke topped things off with a sharp, modern sound mix that gave everything a bit of swagger.

Research & Strategy

Three audiences. One visual world.

We broke down GoWash’s three key user types and built a unique narrative for each. That meant understanding what each audience needed to hear — and how they’d engage with the content.

Because we were helping define the visual tone from scratch, we focused on clarity, warmth, and style — steering well clear of generic explainer animation territory. The result was a system that made GoWash feel like a confident, fully-fledged brand from day one.

The Outcome

Three short films, one coherent identity

Each film had a clear audience, a smart structure, and a consistent visual style that we developed in tandem with the animations themselves. It’s a strong case study for how top animation companies can help shape early-stage brands while keeping production sharp, efficient, and budget-conscious.
